Real Chemistry // Luminous 3-Minute Peel (Full Size $48 | Sample Size $4.80): I’ve used this once already and it’s very interesting. It’s not a mask, although that’s what I thought when I first pulled it out of my Birchbox. After you cleanse your face, you leave your skin and your hands slightly damp. Then you quickly spread the gel all over your face and massage your face for about 3 minutes. The dead skin forms little clumps and you wash those right off after your done. It’s a very interesting product, but I’ll have to try it more to see if it actually makes a difference.
Klorane // Shampoo with Mango Butter (Full Size $19.50 | Sample Size $1.16) and Klorane // Conditioning Balm with Mango Butter (Full Size $16 | Sample Size $1.07): These products are supposed to help dry hair, which is something I’m really struggling with at the moment, so this should be perfect! Plus, I love the smell of mango.
COOLA // SPF 50 Sport – Mango (Full Size $32 | Sample Size $3.20): Now that the sun is out a lot more, sunscreen is essential, especially for a pale person like me. This will be perfect for popping into my handbag! And it smells like mango as well so, yay!
Pura Vida // Lace Headband (Pack of 8 $18 | Sample Size $2.25): Honestly, I’m not really much of a headband person, but this is really cute and I’m excited to try it out!
Dr. Jart+ // Ceramidin Cream (Full Size $48 | Sample Size $4.80): This doesn’t exactly seem like the product for me, especially at this time of year. It’s supposed to be for dry skin, a problem I tend not to have during the summer. However, it smells amazing! (It either smells like lavender or roses; I’m not great with scents so I’m not entirely sure.)
Marcelle // Waterproof Eyeliner (Full Size $11 | Sample Size $7.33): I love when Birchbox sends me deep purple eyeliners and I want to try this smudged plum lash lines look that Birchbox has on their website.
Overall, I’m really impressed with this month’s Birchbox, especially after being so disappointed with last month’s.
What did you think of this Birchbox? Have you tried any of these products?
Wow, I haven’t posted one of these in forever! Like I said before, these past few months have been CRAZY. (A good kind of crazy though.) Now that things are winding down a bit though, I thought I would take a moment to do some of the stuff I have been missing, like blogging!I honestly haven’t been that impressed with the stuff I’ve received in my Birchbox lately. Last month I received two products I’ve received already in other Birchboxes (different shades and scents, but still). This one wasn’t bad. It could have been better, but it was definitely better than last month’s so I’m not complaining.
Aruba Aloe // Luxe Foot Cream (Full Size $18 | Sample Size $9): I am not a fan of putting lotion on my feet. It’s like sleeping with socks on. It just feels so confining. I’ll try to give this product a chance though. Either that, or I’ll give it to my mom.
CoTZ® // Flawless Complexion SPF 50 (Full Size $20 | Sample Size $1.44): I feel like I have a billion of these BB cream sunscreens from Birchbox (okay maybe only 3 or 4). This will definitely be getting a lot of use though over the next few months, especially since I spend all day in the sun for my job.
Marcelle // Clay Mask (Full Size $15 | Sample Size $2.23): I love a good clay mask. I’ve already tried this product once and it’s really interesting. It goes on clear, which is interesting because when it says “clay mask” I expect to see some clay. My first impressions were good though; it left my skin all nice and glowy.
Prescriptives // False Eyelashes Plush Mascara (Full Size $23 | Sample Size $5.91): I’ve tried this a couple times and I’m actually relatively impressed! Trying new mascaras always feels like a disappointment to me because they always end up being all the same and not really doing what I want them to do. This one does a pretty good job of separating the lashes though and making them look a lot fuller. However, it doesn’t do a great job of holding a curl.
Harvey Prince // Sea Salt Texturizing Mist (Full Size $22 | Sample Size $0.99): I haven’t tried this product out at all yet because sea salt sprays tend to make my hair feel really gross, but this is by a nicer brand so I’m interested to see how it makes my hair look and feel!
Again, not so impressed with this Birchbox, but it wasn’t too bad.
Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
Oh my goodness it has been so long since I’ve blogged. Over a month guys. OVER A MONTH. (Sorry for screaming.) Life has been crazy lately. It’s just gone BA-BAM in my face, but I finally have a spare moment! So without further ado, let’s look at what I received in my Birchbox this month. So Birchbox has lately been into the whole “sample choice” thing, which I think is pretty cool. I love the element of surprise, but occasionally getting to pick what actually goes in your box is pretty cool. If you don’t have a Birchbox, basically with a sample choice you can out of 4-5 products which ONE of those you want in your box and have the rest of your samples be surprises. OR you can choose to get the box that Birchbox put together that month, which is what I did this month. These things all are in limited supply though, so you have to get to it before everyone else does. Of course you can just choose to have all surprises if none of the products offered really interest you.amika // Perk Up Dry Shampoo (Full Size $9 | Sample Size $6.75): The packaging is so pretty and girl, you know you can never have enough dry shampoo. Plus, the small size of this one makes it perfect to stuff in a purse or a gym bag.
Dr Jart+ // Pore Minimalist Mask ($7.00): I’ve never used a sheet mask before so I’m super excited to try this.
Dr. Lipp // Original Nipple Balm (Full Size $14 | Sample Size $2.90): I’m all for a multi-use product, especially one that will battle my dry skin. A bigger sample would have been nicer, but there’s a lot of other great stuff in this box so that’s okay.
Greenleaf // Signature Candle in Silver Spruce (Full Size $17 | Sample Size $3.58): I LOVE candles. They smell soooo good, but I never buy them because they’re kind of expensive and I never know how much I’m going to get out of them. I haven’t actually burned this one yet, but I’m very excited to because it smelled amazing just taking it out of the box.
Mirenesse // iCurl Secret Weapon 24hr Mascara (Full Size $29 | Sample $11.60): I always love getting a new mascara. I’m still looking for the perfect one, but if this one actually lives up to what it claims to do, I may find my match.
Obviously I’m very excited about what I received in my Birchbox this month. All these products seem amazing and are all ones that I will most definitely use. The total value of this box is $31.83 which is pretty amazing considering I pay only $10 for all these products plus shipping. I actually don’t think I’ve ever received a Birchbox valued so highly.
What products did you receive in your subscription box this month?
When my Birchbox arrives, it always makes me so happy! 🙂
Isn’t this little quiz to find out where to visit next cute? I got Chicago, Illinois, but personally, I’d really like to visit San Francisco, California.
Perlier Body Cream in Shea Almond (Full Size $28.45 | Sample Size $4.25): I know some people get annoyed when subscription boxes keep sending them lotion, but I really don’t mind. It means I get to try a wide variety of lotions that all fit easily into my handbag. Plus, this one has shea in it so yay!
Vasanti BrightenUp! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator (Full Size $34 | Sample Size $5.71): I’m a big fan of trying out facial skin care products so when I saw this I got really excited. However, I have yet to try it out…Dr. Hauschka Body Wash in Lemongrass (Full Size $22.95 | Sample Size $1.15): I’m always down for trying a new body wash. Also, lemongrass. I love lemongrass. Birchbox I’m loving you.
Cynthia Rowley Beauty Eyeliner in Silver (Full Size $16 | Sample Size $12): Basically when I saw this I thought GLITTER and was happy. Finding a time when I can wear this should be interesting though…Folle de Joie eau de parfum (Full Size $98 | Sample Size $1.73): Oh the endless barrage of perfumes you send me Birchbox.
Total Value: $24.84 – That eyeliner pretty much paid for the whole box…
What did you think of my Birchbox this month? I was pretty impressed. Also, keep an eye out for my “First Impressions” of my Birchbox items from now on. I always have thoughts about the items I get, but there’s never enough in the bottle to really give you guys a full, fair review. That being said, I do think first impressions are very important which is why I am making this series.
