Hey guys! It’s been forever since I’ve posted, but March has been crazy for me (post on that coming soon). I thought though, in honor of her birthday, I would write a review of Zoe’s book, which I just finished recently. It’s unbelievable that I’ve found any time to read in the midst of all this madness, but somehow I’ve managed it!
I really loved the story of this book. Although it was a bit typical in the whole “boy meets girl and they fall in love” thing, the rest of the story wasn’t something I’d seen before. It didn’t feel too predictable and I think it touched on some real issues that many big name YouTubers go through, which I think is important because I don’t know if people always understand how hurtful it is to say mean things on the Internet. The book just felt so real and heartfelt to me and I really loved that.
The writing itself wasn’t the best in the entire world (I definitely know better writers who don’t have their own books), but it wasn’t bad writing and it didn’t distract from the story. I wish each chapter ended a bit better though. It seemed as though Zoe tried to put in a bit of a cliffhanger, but she didn’t exactly pull it off and it ended up sounding a bit cheesy.
Overall, I think this book is perfect if you’re looking for a fun, light read. It didn’t take me very long at all to read it. Also, I just wanted to add that despite what people say, I think Zoe 100% deserved this book as she’s worked really hard to get where she is and she worked really hard at something she’s always wanted to do.
What are your thoughts on this book and other books YouTubers have written?
I love you guys and I hope you have an amazing rest of your weekend! xx
